Description
There are different kinds of birch, which are found in the mountains of Macedonia. They are tall trees with spotted, white or brown bark. The white birch gives a resin with an aromatic substance from its bark. The leaves and the shoots of the tree are used. Birch is a good diuretic and the tea from leaves is tonic, digestive and acts against skin diseases.
