    Description

    There are over 50 species of lemon grass, which belongs to the family of Cymbopogon. It grows in wild and cultivated form in Southeast Asia (especially in Thailand, Java, Sri Lanka, India) and in New Guinea. Certain species are cultivated for the essential oil and other for cooking. The lemon grass is known for its insect repellent action and for antiseptic, antibacterial action. It also helps to stimulate the brain.
